Unconditionally
Too many nights, too many years
spent wishing I could find a perfection
I knew couldn't exist
I wanted love unconditionally
but refused to risk the all of me
expecting some sort of deep satisfaction
Drove them away with my unrealism
never knew what I had done
and escaped into worlds of never-ending fantasy
It was there that I met you
when I had finally stopped looking
where I started to see me
We fell together into friendship
two like souls combined
you laughed and joked and cried with me
I learned you weren't perfection
but to me, your faults are perfection
and I loved you unconditionally
